Maths is universal. So are the gaps. We fix them.

A child stuck on algebra in Grade 7 or Year 8 is often stuck much further back, in fractions or negative numbers. Maths Clinic Plus finds the root gap, names the misunderstanding behind each wrong answer, and practises the skill underneath until it's mastered, in your own curriculum's years, words and money.

Where does your child's math break down?

Choose your curriculum, then your child's year. Let them answer on their own, and say honestly whether they were sure. You'll see what's secure, what's shaky, and the gap to fix first.

Which grade is the child in?

About 15 questions or fewer, starting at that class and digging down wherever something is shaky. Let the child answer on their own, and be honest about "sure" or "not sure".

Whatever the grade, the check digs down to earlier skills if that is where the gap starts.

The maths lab

See it move, and it makes sense.

Like our Science Lab's experiments: predict first, try it, then see why. Cut fractions into same-size pieces, hop along a number line, bundle ten ones into a ten, turn a times-table array round. Try one now.

Predict

Which is bigger: 2/3 or 3/4?

Try it: change the fractions

Orange bottom3
Blue top3
Blue bottom4

See why

The orange bar is 23, the blue bar 34. The pieces are different sizes, so count them only once they are the same size.

Why more of the same doesn't work

A wrong answer is a clue. Most practice throws it away.

When a child writes ½ + ⅓ = 2/5, the problem isn't adding fractions. They don't yet see why fractions need the same bottom number. More worksheets won't fix that; going back to equivalent fractions will. Maths Clinic Plus reads the clue in every wrong answer and goes to the root, whichever year it is in.

How it works

Diagnose. Teach. Correct. Close the gap.

  1. 1DiagnoseA short check (15 questions at most) starts at your child's year and digs down under every wrong answer until it reaches firm ground: the root gap.
  2. 2TeachA one-minute lesson for each skill: the idea, a worked example and the mistake to watch for, with pictures that move.
  3. 3CorrectQuestions with new numbers every time, marked at once. A wrong answer is matched to the misunderstanding it shows and explained in plain words, with the working.
  4. 4Close the gap4 right-and-sure answers in a row master a skill. It comes back after 3, 7, 21 and 60 days to make sure it sticks.

A Year 5 in London, a Grade 4 in Toronto, a Primary 5 in Lagos.

The maths is the same; the names, the order of operations and the money differ. Maths Clinic Plus speaks your curriculum: its years, its strands and its money in word problems. A Plus pass opens every year, because gaps often start lower down.

Questions

Before you buy.

How is it different from Maths Clinic?

Maths Clinic Plus is Maths Clinic for families anywhere: it speaks your curriculum (British, US, Canadian or Nigerian), opens every year of the skill map in one pass, and adds the maths lab. Maths Clinic stays as it is for Nigerian families who want one stage.

Which curricula does it follow?

British (National Curriculum for England); US (Common Core and state standards); Canadian (Ontario curriculum); Nigerian (NERDC, with WAEC and NECO). Canada starts with Ontario's curriculum. More are on the way.

What does it cost?

For one child: ₦25,000 for a term (120 days) or ₦60,000 for a year (360 days). For 2 to 4 children, the family plan: ₦100,000 for a year. Nothing renews by itself.

We already have Maths Clinic. Can we upgrade?

Yes. Sign in, then buy Plus here: the days left on your child's Maths Clinic pass are worked out and taken off the price, and their skills, stars and gap checks carry on as they are.

Can each child have a different curriculum?

Yes. On the family plan each child has their own curriculum and year, so siblings at a British school and a US school are both covered.

Does it use AI?

Not for marking. Every question is made fresh by code, with its answer, the common wrong answers and the working, so the maths is always right.

How does my child get in after I pay?

At once: the thank-you page has a button that opens your child's own private link, which we also email to you. It works on two devices and can be added to the home screen like an app.

How much time does it take?

Ten to fifteen minutes a day is plenty. Short and often beats long and rare.

Can I get a refund?

Payments are non-refundable (see our terms), which is why the gap check is free to try first, with no account and no card.
